The Mobile Library vehicle visits our village every two weeks on a Wednesday afternoon between 15.35 – 15.55. It stops for 15 minutes and parks at Lonefield, you are most welcome to use the village hall car park rather than the layby. We need to use it or lose it. Please support this valuable resource. Fish and Chip van — Every Friday evening between 5.00 – 6.15 Paul and Shelly park at the village hall car park and cook fish and chips. It provides a valuable focal point for villagers to socialise and chat. The food is good and it can be a good meeting place to put the world to rights.
Paul and Shelly retired in September and we thank them for the many years that they served us meals every Friday. We wish them well. At present there is no mobile food offering in the village but we are looking into this for 2026.
